MSP OS Privacy Policy

This policy explains how MSP OS and the MSP OS Capture Chrome extension collect, use, store, and share information. MSP OS Capture is designed to help authenticated MSP OS users record browser workflows and save them as knowledge base articles or RecordIT videos in their MSP OS workspace.

Single purpose

MSP OS Capture collects and uses data only to provide its user-facing documentation and recording features: connecting to your MSP OS workspace, capturing steps you intentionally record, uploading screenshots or RecordIT videos you choose to save, and opening the resulting MSP OS content.

Information we collect

Account and workspace information

When you connect MSP OS Capture, we receive and store the MSP OS user email, workspace or tenant name, and an extension access token used to authenticate requests to your workspace.

Authentication information

The extension stores an MSP OS access token locally in Chrome storage so it can save captures and RecordIT videos to the workspace you connected. You can revoke this connection by signing out of the extension.

Web page and browsing context selected by the user

During an active capture, the extension may collect the URL, page title, selected element text, selectors, viewport size, click position, and screenshots for the pages you intentionally record.

User activity during a capture

During an active capture, the extension records clicks and form-step activity needed to create step-by-step documentation. It does not run as a general browsing monitor.

Website content and RecordIT media

When you choose to save a guide or recording, screenshots, captions, page context, and screen or camera recordings are uploaded to MSP OS so your team can review, edit, publish, or share them.

QuickBooks Online financial data

When an authorized Finance admin connects QuickBooks Online, MSP OS receives the selected company ID, company name, OAuth tokens, webhook event metadata, accounting records, transaction details, account names, customer/vendor names, balances, and report summaries needed to provide Finance dashboards, ledger views, and sync health monitoring.

How we use information

We use collected information to authenticate your extension connection, save captured screenshots and metadata to your MSP OS workspace, create or update knowledge base content, upload and save RecordIT videos, sync authorized QuickBooks Online records into the Finance module, display financial dashboards and ledger views, support troubleshooting, maintain security, and operate MSP OS. We do not use extension or QuickBooks data for advertising, behavioral profiling, credit decisions, or lending decisions.

How information is shared

Captured content is shared only with your MSP OS workspace and the team members or recipients you choose through MSP OS sharing settings. We may process data with service providers that help us operate MSP OS, such as hosting, database, storage, authentication, and security providers, including Vercel and Supabase. QuickBooks data is not sold, shared with third parties for their independent use, or made available outside your MSP OS workspace except as needed to provide and secure MSP OS, comply with law, or fulfill your instructions.

Security

Extension requests to MSP OS use HTTPS. Captured screenshots, uploaded media, and article content are stored in MSP OS systems with access controls tied to your workspace. The extension stores connection and in-progress capture data locally in Chrome storage until you save, discard, or sign out.

Retention and deletion

In-progress capture data remains in local Chrome storage until you save or discard it. Content saved to MSP OS remains in your workspace until it is deleted according to your workspace controls or a support request. QuickBooks tokens and synced financial records remain in the separate MSP OS Finance database until an authorized admin disconnects QuickBooks, deletes the workspace data, or submits a support request. Signing out of MSP OS Capture revokes the extension token and clears the local extension session.

Your choices

MSP OS Capture records only after you start a capture or recording. You can pause, stop, discard, or review captures before saving them. You can sign out of the extension to revoke the connection. For access or deletion requests, contact us at info@inmantechnologies.com.

Chrome Web Store limited use disclosure

MSP OS Capture uses Chrome extension permissions and user data only to provide and improve its single purpose. We do not transfer user data except as needed to provide MSP OS Capture and MSP OS services, comply with law, protect users, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets with continued protection of user data. We do not use user data for advertising, unrelated purposes, creditworthiness, or lending.
